John Novak's passion for living a sustainable lifestyle started early - spending the summers of his youth with his grandparents in their Green home, which was built entirely of cement and was equipped with solar water heating, geothermal cooling, passive daylighting, hydraulic water ram irrigation system, tiered produce gardens, and fishing ponds. John saw first hand that one doesn't need to sacrifice present-day needs in order to live harmoniously with the environment. Later, as a board member and vice president of his neighborhood association, John and his fellow citizens registered their community to become the first LEED-ND certified existing neighborhood in the country.
John loves to collaborate with homeowners, landlords, and investors on money-saving projects that increase value and living conditions while reducing consumption. John shares Benjamin Franklin's vision of "doing well by doing good," and exchanges knowledge of Green technologies openly with the hope of making the world a better place.
